I was bored ok!

You know how it is. You in the lab taking about 23,994 photos of cells (and your not entirely sure they are the right cells) when you reach a point. You either die right there and fall into the microscope or you try and take photos of objects you can reach with out moving from your chair. Obviously to save the microscope I HAD to choose the second option.

So I tried my fingers, but light doesnt shine throught them very well. I tried paper clips, pens even some blue tak. But then I found the joy of paper. Here is one of the photos and a picture of the brain to make this seem like an educational post. Its the prettiest brain pic I took as the others are of a different place and more blobby. Well I can't tell you what it is or even the stain as its top secret research (oo) but some of you boffins will know.....shhhh.

Kung Hey Fat Choi

Well this weekend me and Owen went into Chinatown for the New Year celebration. This was the largest party outside China so you can get an idea of how huge it was. We wandered to Leicester Square but due to severe bad timing we arrived just at the end of one of the shows and as we were starving (1:00pm) we headed for the main street full of Chinese yummmyness. But I stupidly decided to pick the most busy street in the entire world. We were all squashed together for about 20 mins before we even got near the restaurants. The we realised that actually there were lots of chinese dragons dancing around and kinda blessing each house as they went allong. Here was the first one:

After he went past we managed to get onto the main pedestrian area and picked a chinese place with a shortish queue. We only had to wait a minute or two before getting a table which was really good as some people had been waiting for ages. We had barbeque spare ribs, sweet n sour pork, pork chow mein and egg fried rice! MMMMMM all yum!

Then we decided to head on further down the street, as the way we came looked chocca! Suddenly we found ourselves right at the front of a big (and gorgeous) dancing draogn and a little red one just behind. They were accompanied by a huge load of percussionsists and I dont think one of them was enjoying it so much (see below)

So once again Kung Hey Fat Choi and have a good year (its the year of the Golden Pig, which only happens once every 60 years)
