TFL officially hates me. The feeling is mutual. I was charged 8 pounds for 3 pounds worth of journeys. They are just the most nasty rude people iv'e ever met. The story begins the day after my montly travel card expired (this is 60 quid per month btw). So i'm back onto pre-pay. I go from Barbican to Russel Square but the Oyster card reader was broken so I couldnt touch out. I go to the Russel Square ticket office and the woman says "if your coming back through then it will sort itself out". So I go to the lab. After a few hours I go back to Russel Square and the machines are still not working. So I reason that what she meant was when I touch out at my final destination it will just charge me for one journey "effectively Barbican to Newbury Park". But when I get there its charged me 8 quid because according to the big fat (and horrible man) there "It doesnt take 3 hours to get from barbican". Well when I tried to explain the lack of Oyster readers at Russel Square he shruggs and says there's nothing he can do. Despite the boards at RS saying talk to the ticket office at your destination to adjust your card!
In conclusion TFL are mean (made me cry) and only out to take your money. Why Ken Livingston employs horrible people like this AND increases prices of public transport I really don't know?
